Small houses are great! They're cozy, lovely, and just plain fun. And with less house to maintain (both physically and financially) you're left for other important things in life. Like gardening, traveling, and just hanging out with your kids and family.
Why waste time earning money for a monster home you really despise in the end? Your time is really the only thing that nobody can take away - the only thing that's truly yours. Money comes and goes, so why spend your precious time earning money for an elephant of a house.
Live life more fully by building and living in a smaller home! Less house to maintain, more happiness to cultivate.
